The success of every roofing project is contingent on two factors - the quality of the materials used and the skill of the craftsmen installing them. At GSB Services, LLC we have striven to meet both factors.
Materials: We have partnered with two superior manufacturers. While we will install other products, our affiliations allow us to provide you with superior products and warranties - over and above what is typically available.
GAF/Elk (www.gaf.com) is a composite roofing manufacturer that has been a leader in the industry for decades. Our experience, fine reputation, and financial stability have allowed us to qualify as a Certified Weather Stopper Roofing Contractor. This is an important distinction that only 10% of all roofing contractors qualify for. When considering a contractor to assist you with your roofing project, choosing a Certified contractor will insure a quality job.
Davinci Roofscapes (www.davinciroofscapes.com) manufactures synthetic slate and shakes. They are composed of durable synthetic polymers. For nearly a decade, we have been researching synthetic slates and shakes because we feel they offer beauty, durability, affordability, and can be installed on almost any structure without the concerns common with traditional slate. Most products fell short. Some were too thin, some curled up, some unattractive. Davinci really exceeded our expectations. Let us show you how Davinci can add to the beauty of your home. GSB Services, LLC is one of the few contractors in southeastern Wisconsin to achieve the coveted Davinci Masterpiece Contractor status
Craftsmen: That's not a term commonly used anymore in connection with the roofing trade. Typically, many view the installation of roofing materials on a home as a commodity. It is true that the products themselves are a commodity. So, no matter where a manufacturer's shingles come from, they should be the same. (Please remember, though, not all manufacturers are the same). The installation of your shingles is another story. Installation is not a commodity. In fact, your choice here can go a long way in determining your return on investment. You invest in the product, your installation determines the useful life of that product. An unskilled installer can use practices that may show up in problems years down the road. His lack of training and lack of product eduction and knowledge means the product you invested in is not in good hands. A sobering thought, especially as shingle prices continue to rise.
Our installers are factory tested. They must pass a comprehensive test conducted by GAF/Elk in order to qualify for positions as installers.
Continuing education is emphasized. Our installers are encouraged to attend seminars and training sessions offered by the manufacturers and trade associations.
As a company, we take a keen interest in the advancement of our installers. We promote an atmosphere of striving for excellence. Our crew foremen are expected to share these values.
